MOTping stores the account details you give us (email, optional company name and mobile number) and the vehicle records you add (registration, dates and any documents you upload). We use these only to provide the reminder service.

Vehicle data

When you add a registration, MOTping queries the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry Service and the DVSA MOT history service to retrieve publicly available tax and MOT information for that vehicle. We store the returned dates against your record.

Documents

Files you upload (MOT certificates, V5C, PMI reports, invoices) are stored privately and are only accessible from your own account.

Notifications

We send reminders to the email address and, if enabled, the mobile number on your account. Email is delivered via Resend; SMS via Twilio. We do not sell your data.

Your rights

You can export or delete your data at any time. Email hello@motping.co.uk and we will action requests within 30 days, in line with UK GDPR.
